"Bless Our Armed Forces"
I care. That's the bottom line. I think of our brave young soldiers in the foxholes and in the shifting sands of Iraq and I want to hold them...and protect them...but all I can do is pray:
Lord God, we ask you to bless the members of our armed forces. Give them courage, hope and strength. May they ever experience your firm support, gentle love and compassionate healing. Amen
I want to do what little I can...and therefore I offer you my "Prayer Box". They are a compact carton consisting of a prayer cloth, a cross to hold in the palm of their hands, twelve inspirational and devotional cards adorned with artwork and love, and a special pocket where they may file their cherished photos, letters and anything they choose. We're in the process of putting these together. Also enclosed will be a card
with a photo of a candle burning...dedicated to the receiver. I just wish there was something we could do to "soften" this war for them. I pray that this little bit will give them strength, courage..and the knowledge that they are loved and honored with great pride.
