1.) poor health.
2.) unruly children.
3.) financial bondage.
4.) physical and emotional abuse.
5.) difficult people in the workplace.
6.) someone manipulating for dishonest gain.
7.) others quick to judge our heart, action, or motive.
8.) unfairness, unkindness, and some degree of hatred (some how, some way, somewhere) as the list goes on.
There will always be wars and rumours of wars because there is no new thing under the sun. In the world ye shall have tribulation, and that's the way it is.
All these things must come before they can pass. And, thankfully, they do pass ... when you are ready to take the steps of faith to walk on turbulent waters and pass to the other side. However, freedom is not yours until you choose it. And, how to do that is to stop living 'under the sun' and start walking in it.
As the song goes, the moment you are ready to say, "Yes, Lord. Yes, to your will and to your way. I will trust you enough toobey" (to follow God's every next step of leading), you are blessed with the God given right to put an end to your spiritual warfare.
The Lord God is a sun: shield. Psalm 84:11a The sun is the brightest light, for which 'walking in that light' dispels all darkness; providing one's shield of faith. Having experienced that shield, I say this, "It is not just a 'piece of metal' in front of us, it is a whole dad-gummed dome! Absolutely nothing can touch us when walking in His light!"
Even so, until you have had experience walking above turbulent tides, you may not yet be able to see that dome. So, keep your eyes focused on God, what He said, and who He is; and stand in that faith and realize that all sea monsters have 'power to do' is to make noise as God is still on His throne (and turn up your spiritual music even louder). Then, once the noise has passed, for future reference, observe what just happened and know, when you are not yet experienced enough to realize your shield, the storm will pass you!
The Lord will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly. Watch ye therefore, and pray always (get your every next step of instruction from God), that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man. Luke 21:36
No matter what ails, continue in the faith
as we must, through much tribulation,
enter into the kingdom of God.
