Little Andy Talks with God

Can I Ask You?
Hi, Mr. God! It's me, little Andy.
Ya got some time ta talk, taday?
If'n you're too busy, I'll come back.
I don't have nut'in 'portant ta say.
I was jest wonderin',
What do ya do most of the time;
Besides cleanin' stars an stuff,
An keepin' the skies a lookin' fine?
Do ya ever jest sit on the clouds
An hang your feet over the side?
An, do ya watch us, down here,
An can ya take a cloud for a ride?
Mr. God, ya got pets up there?
Daddy says ya got lots of room ta play.
Who mows the grass for ya an
Who takes care of things when you're away?
Daddy, often, says He serves
A great big God. Is that so?
How big are ya, any way, Mr. God, an
Does Jesus go with you ever where ya go?
Do ya take a lunch ta work?
Do ya drive a car or walk, or do ya fly?
Do ya have a 'puter up there
An are ya ever shy?
Do ya plant the pretty flowers
Or do the angels do that for you?
An, if I ever came to visit,
What kinda things would I get ta do?
How do ya make the stars light up an
Where do ya keep them through the day?
Or, do ya take them in the mornin'
An clean, an put them all a way?
Where do ya go on vacation?
We're goin' ta grandma's, this year.
Momma says she gets so lonely an cries a lot,
Since grandpa isn't here.
Maybe, you could come with us.
I'm sure it would be aw'right.
Daddy says you are ever where.
So, where do ya sleep at night?
Tell Jesus I came by, taday.
Is he off fishin', or somthin' more fun?
Tell him I love him an you, too.
Now, I gotta run.
Thanks for listenin', Mr. God.
If ya see grandpa, tell him I said 'hi'.
Tell him we all miss him
An we try hard not to cry.
Tell him we're watchin' grandma
An she's a gettin' better.
Bet'cha she would like for grandpa
Ta send her a nice letter.
I gotta go. Momma's callin'.
I love ya a whole bunch
An Jesus, too, ya know.
Momma's callin' me for lunch.
See ya later. Bye.
From little Andy.
