We believe there are three that bear record in
heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and
these three are one (1John 5:7). And the Word was made
flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the
glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of
grace and truth. (John 1:14). (Which he had promised
afore by his prophets in the holy scriptures,)
Concerning his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, which was made
of the seed of David according to the flesh; And
declared to be the Son of God with power, according to
the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the
dead: (Romans 1:2-4). Therefore let all the house of
Israel know assuredly, that God hath made the same
Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ.
(Acts 2:36). Him God raised up the third day, and shewed
him openly; Not to all the people, but unto witnesses
chosen before God, even to us, who did eat and drink
with him after he rose from the dead. (Acts 10:40-41)
And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the
times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his
own power. But ye shall receive power, after that the
Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses
unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in
Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. And
when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he
was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their
sight. And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as
he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white
apparel; Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand
ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is
taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like
manner as ye have seen him go into heaven. (Acts
1:7-11). To the praise of the glory of his grace,
wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved. In whom
we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of
sins, according to the riches of his grace; Wherein he
hath abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence;
(Ephes 1:6-8) To wit, that God was in Christ,
reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their
trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the
word of reconciliation (2 Corinth 5:19). Verily, verily,
I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth
on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall
not come into condemnation; but is passed from death
unto life. (John 5:24). Verily, verily, I say unto you,
He that believeth on me hath everlasting life. I am that
bread of life. (John 6:47-48). But now being made free
from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit
unto holiness, and the end everlasting life. (Romans
6:22)
